About the role

To provide Procurement and Contract related support and advice to colleagues at all levels of the authority.

Key Responsibilities

To assist with the preparation and execution of Council Procurement processes. To assist with the drafting of all Council related contract documentation and updating draft contract templates as necessary. Review supplier and framework terms and conditions, negotiating where required to ensure compliance with Council policy, mitigate risk and safeguard the Council. About you

We're looking for someone who has:

Good standard of education.*
Procurement and/or Contracts related qualification, demonstrable work experience or willingness to undertake subject specific training. A good understanding of safeguarding issues commensurate with the role. Experience of working in Procurement and/or Contracts, preferably within a Local Authority setting. Experience of drafting and reviewing contracts and supporting the full contract lifecycle.

Working Arrangements

This role is offered on a hybrid basis, with an expectation of 1 day per week in the office.
