The role requires a strong stock control background with a solid understanding of production processes. Working across three sites, you will ensure all packaging and raw materials are consistently available to maintain uninterrupted service to customers. You will take ownership of stock movement, conduct regular stock counts, maintain accurate stock records, and proactively re-order low-level items.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:



Ensure all raw materials and packaging are in stock at all times to maintain service levels Maintain appropriate stock levels based on programmed production orders Carry out regular stock counts, stock adjustments, and resolve discrepancies Take ownership of stock movement between sites and within production Monitor stock levels daily and re-order low stock items Identify potential stock issues and escalate to the Operations Manager Generate Purchase Orders and manage the full replenishment cycle Liaise with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of all materials Monitor and address supplier non-conformance Assist with negotiating competitive pricing and terms Check and verify supplier invoices prior to authorising payment Use Business Central to track inventory levels, costs, and performance metrics Develop and improve inventory control strategies to reduce shortages and excess stock Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure record accuracy Support continuous improvement projects within Operations, including SOP development Collaborate with sales, operations, and finance to forecast inventory needs and set targets Assist with stock-taking activities Work closely with Warehouse teams to ensure the correct product is picked, loaded, and delivered. Undertake any additional duties appropriate to the role

Experience:



Previous experience in similar role is essential Strong background in stock control and inventory management Solid understanding of production processes and material flow Ability to conduct stock counts, manage stock movement, and maintain accurate records

A full driving license is essential

Knowledge of supply chain procedures and logistic operations Knowledge of an ERP or SAP system is advantageous Strong attention to detail and organisational skills are essential. Holding or working towards a CIPS qualification is desirable.
