JOB ROLE:

Procurement and Supply Chain Manager (Mandarin-Speaking, China-based)

? Oversee sourcing and supplier operations in China. This role is critical to ensuring seamless production, cost-effective procurement, and on-time delivery of goods to the UK.

? The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with Chinese manufacturers, fluent

? Mandarin skills, and a strong grasp of international logistics and compliance. You will be the key liaison between our UK-based team and suppliers in China.

Key Responsibilities

? Manage the full procurement cycle with China-based manufacturers and suppliers

? Communicate daily with suppliers in Mandarin to coordinate production, negotiate pricing, and resolve issues

? Conduct product inspections, quality control, and factory visits to ensure compliance and product standards

? Handle international shipping, including freight booking, customs clearance, and delivery coordination to the UK

? Maintain up-to-date records of purchase orders, supplier performance, landed cost, and shipping documentation

? Forecast inventory demand and plan procurement in alignment with company timelines and sales projections

? Collaborate closely with the UK-based team on new product development, packaging, and production timelines

? Continuously seek opportunities to reduce cost, improve procurement lead time, and optimise supply chain efficiency

? Ensure all imported products comply with UK safety regulations, labeling requirements, and relevant certifications (e.g., CE, UKCA)

? Prepare regular reports and analysis on supplier KPIs, cost trends, and logistics performance

Requirements

? Fluent in Mandarin Chinese (both spoken and written); professional-level English

? Minimum 3 years' experience in procurement, supply chain, or sourcing roles working with Chinese factories

? Strong knowledge of OEM/ODM processes, manufacturing lead times, and supplier

negotiation best practices

? Familiar with logistics, Incoterms, freight forwarding, and import/export procedures

? Skilled in handling supply issues, production delays, and cost control

? High level of independence, attention to detail, and proactive problem solving

? Proficient in relevant office and business software, including Excel, Google Sheets, ERP

systems, and communication tools (e.g. WeChat, DingTalk, Zoom)

? Experience with consumer goods, electronics, or personal care products is highly preferred

? Ability to travel within China for supplier visits and product inspections as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 28,000.00-40,000.00 per year
