Reporting directly to the Procurement Manager this onsite role is key to our supply chain function.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
To support in the facilitation of the ordering and scheduling of bought in materials.
To liaise with external suppliers along with the Planning, Production, Customer Service, Technical, New Product and Development and Finance teams to minimise cost and enhance value to the business.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Ensure procedures and processes are followed according to company standard
Working closely with the Production Planner to ensure that all purchases are ordered/scheduled in a timely and cost-efficient manner in order to meet the company's production needs as well as preventing excess inventory and a build-up of obsolete materials. This covers all ICB and some SOH demand
Forecasting demand for suppliers, including weekly meetings with ICB's
Identifying requisitions, interrogating and resolving queries, allocating sources and raising purchase orders within the functionality of IFS. Amending such purchase orders as circumstances demand.
Where necessary work outside of IFS for example NPD time constrained materials
Expediting purchase order confirmations, and deliveries to ensure compliance with ICB price and delivery expectations
Work with QA and Technical to identify out of date flavours requiring re-testing.
Routine maintenance of IFS for new and amended SKU's, and the IFS procurement function generally, such as parts pricing, supplier details, etc
The preparation and timely circulation of Management reports requested by the Procurement Manager and any reports requested on an ad hoc or regular basis in order to support other areas of the business.
Support the Procurement Manager in forging productive relationships with key suppliers that are beneficial to the business. Price and delivery enquiries with suppliers
Provide cover and support for Production Planner / CDM Materials controller / Procurement Manager
Work with Team Finance to clear invoice queries
Work with Team Finance to manage Deadwood process and reporting
Work with Team Finance to input standard costs
Attend internal and external meetings as required, and represent ICB in front of suppliers
Additional work related duties as directed by the Procurement Manager and Directors as result of specific customer or Company requirements.
