Role Overview

We are seeking a

motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Assistant

to support our fast-paced fresh produce procurement team. The ideal candidate will have a

speaking Spanish and English

to communicate with international growers and suppliers. This role plays a key part in ensuring continuity of supply, maintaining quality standards, and achieving competitive pricing.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with daily purchasing of fresh fruits and vegetables Communicate with Spanish-speaking growers and suppliers regarding pricing, availability, and quality Place and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery Monitor stock levels, shelf life, and wastage Maintain accurate procurement and supplier records Liaise with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure smooth intake of produce Handle quality issues, shortages, and claims with suppliers Support the senior procurement team with market updates and availability reports

Key Requirements

Fluent in Spanish and English

Strong organisational and multitasking skills Excellent communication and negotiation skills High level of attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-moving environment IT skills (Microsoft Office / ERP systems) Previous experience in procurement, fresh produce, food supply, or administration (advantageous but not essential)
