Jonathan Carey Design is a manufacturer of high-end bespoke furniture based in Crosshills, West Yorkshire. The role of Procurement Assistant has become available and we are seeking a passionate like minded individual to join our team. Candidates will have previous experience in an administration role, ideally with procurement knowledge however training can be provided.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Procurement Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the procurement team in sourcing, purchasing, and negotiating materials to ensure efficient supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

- Assist in sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotations for goods and services
- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate favourable terms and prices
- Maintain accurate records of purchases and pricing
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in inventory management
- Support the procurement team in various administrative tasks

Experience

The successful candidate should ideally possess:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Knowledge of logistics, supply chain processes, and procurement best practices
- Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Experience working within the construction industry would be advantageous.
