Procurement Business Partner (FTC)

We're looking for a commercially savvy, people-first Procurement Lead to join us at schuh, managing a dynamic 40m+ spend across all non-product categories.



The successful candidate will drive the development of sourcing processes, delivering compelling savings and strong service levels aligned with schuh's Purpose and strategy.



This newly created position will take ownership, collaborate at a leadership level (and globally) in order to make a tangible impact, all within a business that champions innovation, sustainability, and putting people first.



We are pleased to offer this position to candidates based remotely, however travel will be required to attend meetings in our Livingston, Scotland office when needed.



Main Duties & Responsibilities



Shape and execute smart procurement strategies across the whole business Lead sourcing projects end-to-end, from major initiatives to quick wins Collaborate with our US parent company to align sourcing strategies and unlock shared opportunities Build and sustain strong relationships with internal teams and key suppliers Negotiate deals that deliver maximum commercial value and innovation Champion best practice and continuous improvement across the business

The Candidate

Proven success in delivering procurement outcomes -- retail experience a plus, but not essential Compile, analyze, and present data to influence decision making across the business Strong commercial acumen; confident developing business cases and leading deal teams Hands-on project management skills, managing multiple priorities with ease Good understanding of contracts, including basic drafting skills Build and negotiate productive relationships with the vendors/suppliers/partners of schuh to deliver significant cost advantages and top-shelf service levels Degree qualified (or equivalent professional experience) 5+ years' procurement experience across key spend categorie Experience engaging cross-functional teams and global stakeholders Highly organised, results-driven, and comfortable working at pace
