Base Salary: 37,478 - 42,104 basic salary dependant on experience

Being a 'Procurement Category Officer'
Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) are currently recruiting a Procurement Category Officer to join its Procurement Team.
As the Category Officer, you will support the Facilities Management and construction (property) category, reporting directly to the FM & Construction Category Manager.
You will provide support in managing an estate of over 80 properties, with the majority over 40 years old and subject to management programmes including maintenance, upgrade, refurbishment and major re-development.
What you'll do
Lead and provide support in developing and promoting an innovative approach to procurement and market analysis.
Provide data and supplier analysis and support new methods of service delivery to achieve, not only best value in procurement, but continuous improvement through effective contract management.
Support the Category Manager in designing and delivering local and national strategies to maximise collaboration opportunities across the Blue Light sector.
What you'll bring
Ability to develop a tender pack including evaluation criteria and pricing schedules
Ability to manage a tender process, including evaluation, moderation and award process.
Experience of Public Sector procurement, the Public Contract Regulations 2015 and the new Public Procurement Act 2023, including the government's Central Digital Platform.
You will be/or have the willingness to study to become (with full support), a Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) or be working towards full CIPS membership.
Previous procurement experience within the area of Property and Facilities Management - Desirable
Working knowledge of the Joint Construction Tribunal (JCT) contract suite - Desirable
