As an integral member of our procurement team, we are seeking a Procurement Coordinator to own the purchasing of ingredients and to support the purchasing of raw material and finished goods.
The Role
Own the purchasing of Ingredients looking to negotiate and achieve savings.
Liaise with outsourced suppliers to plan and place orders in line with the trading plan.
Support the Procurement Managers with departmental admin as required.
Organise samples for photography with outsourced suppliers and in house production teams.
Build strong relationships with our key suppliers.
Monitor inbound deliveries and highlight any discrepancies with suppliers and wider commercial team.
Monitor purchase orders and quantity of product received and ensure internal and external stock counts are completed as required by the business.
Resolve finance invoice queries in a timely manner.
Provide product availability status when required.
Skills & Experience
Background working in a food production environment (preferred).
Ability to work accurately under pressure.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines.
Excellent communications skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships with suppliers and with a variety of internal stakeholders at all levels.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
The ability to learn quickly.
Strong planning, organisation and time management skills.
Excellent numeracy skills.
A strong critical thinker.
