An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Council as a Procurement and Insurance Officer, for a fixed 1 year contract.




Working within the Project Management Office you will have the opportunity to work with colleagues across Eastleigh Borough Council ensuring organisation-wide compliance with Procurement rules and processes across a variety of projects. You will deliver accurate, high quality Procurement advice whilst ensuring both Council and Procurement Legislation, protocols and processes are always adhered to.




The Role


The Procurement and Insurance Officer role is approximately a 50/50 split over both areas. You will be responsible for arranging the Council's portfolio of insurance cover for 2026/27 and liaising with staff, insurers and brokers when queries arise. You will have regular contact with leadership, as well as elected Members.

About You:


An experienced and accomplished Procurement and Insurance professional, you must have an eye for precision, accuracy and following due process. You will have the ability to prioritise workloads and be able to work with minimum supervision. We are seeking an individual who is self-motivated, highly organised, has a positive approach, and is able to share knowledge and advice concisely.


You will need to have experience of insurance policies within the public sector. You will enjoy working in a varied and fast paced role, be able to remain calm and professional even when the pressure of workload is high.
