We're looking for a proactive Procurement and Logistics Officer to support the smooth day-to-day running of our Guernsey operations. If you enjoy keeping things organised, working with suppliers and making sure everything arrives where it should, when it should - this could be the role for you. This position is offered on a permanent, part-time basis (20hr per week).
In this hands on and varied position, you'll play a key role in coordinating the flow of goods and services within our Procurement and Logistics team. From managing our inventory and placing orders, to liaising with vendors and tracking deliveries, you'll help ensure everything runs like clockwork. You'll work closely with different teams, build strong working relationships and be a go-to person for keeping things moving behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure favourable terms, pricing, and contractual agreements.
Support contract negotiations with suppliers, ensuring terms and conditions meet organisational requirements and mitigate potential risks.
Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to order placement, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
Monitor and manage inventory levels to optimise stock levels, minimise carrying costs, and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
Coordinate the transportation and distribution of goods, collaborating with shipping companies and ensuring efficient and cost-effective logistics solutions.
Work closely with suppliers to ensure that delivered goods meet quality standards, conducting inspections and addressing any deviations from agreed-upon specifications.
Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, such as disruptions in the availability of materials or changes in market conditions.
Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
Continuously seek opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and efficiency in procurement and logistics operations, contributing to overall financial performance

Previous experience in similar Procurement/Logistical Roles.
Strong Procure-to-Pay knowledge.
Understanding of Procurement compliance and sustainability requirements.
Experience in engaging with vendors/partners.
Experience in large stock taking.
Experience in worldwide shipping requirement.
