We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Manager to join our team on a 6-month fixed term contract. This role is pivotal in supporting the business through a period of transformation, with a focus on optimising procurement processes and supporting systems, building strong relationships with key suppliers, and driving cost savings across the business.



This is a

hybrid position

requiring

in-office attendance at our Worcester location twice a week

.

Key responsibilities



Contract Negotiation & Supplier Management



Leading tender processes and contract negotiations with key suppliers to ensure best value and risk mitigation. Develop and embed a process for ongoing monitoring of supplier performance and compliance with contractual obligations. Develop a Supplier Code of Conduct.

Process Design & Implementation



Review existing procurement and purchasing processes and identify areas for improvement. Design and embed a streamlined, efficient, and compliant procurement process across the business. Develop and document procurement policies and procedures.

System Implementation



Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and IT teams to support the implementation of a system to manage supplier contracts. Assist in data migration, user training and ensure any new system supports procurement governance and contract visibility.

General Procurement Duties



Develop reporting to track and analyse key procurement metrics, such as spend analysis, price increases and cost savings. Ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant regulations. Maintain accurate procurement records and reports. Support budget holders with procurement planning and supplier selection. Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive value for money.

Requirements:

Skills & Experience





Proven experience in a procurement or purchasing role, preferably within a software or technology business. Strong understanding of procurement best practices, contract law, tendering processes and supplier management. Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet and data analytics is preferred.
