To define and manage a robust procurement strategy for Eastbourne Product Company that builds resilience into the supply chain with a focus on quality, sustainability and cost. To provide support to the Procurement team and Eastbourne site management on Procurement related matters, supporting the GM in the wider company objectives.

As Purchasing Manager you will lead a team of procurement professionals and you are responsible

  • to define, develop and manage co-operation with our suppliers;
  • to optimize the supply chain processes and performances.
  • to achieve continuous total cost reduction.
  • to support the product development and the product life cycle projects
  • to safeguard and continuously improve products and quality processes.
  • to seek product and process innovation
  • Must be a good communicator and have excellent fluency in spoken and written English.
  • 5 years Procurement experience preferred.
  • Report writing and presentation skills.
  • Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills, organisational awareness and impact and influencing skills area prerequisite.
  • Self-starter, effective time manager and effective line manager.
  • Assertive, diplomatic with a good appreciation of business and commercial issues.
  • Resilient, results driven team player
  • Lead and develop the purchasing function and its team members - in line with the company\'s targets, and with modern purchasing methods.
  • Maintain an ambitious, innovative and continuously updated Purchasing Plan, paying strong attention to new developments in the Product Portfolio and the Division, actively contributing to specific projects of the division, utilizing synergies with the division at all times, targeting to reduce administration in the company and increase our Product Cost Efficiency.
  • Continuously improve the Quality (Components, Delivery & Administration) of our supplier base through Continuous Improvement, Supplier (Quality) Development and Resource (as and when required) and as such help to guarantee products in the field with the lowest possible Quality Cost.
  • Identify and qualify new vendors who can meet our technical, quality and supply requirements.
  • Give a high focus on a Total Product Cost reduction and Operational Cost-effectiveness.
  • Have a focus on our cost reduction target of CC7, working very closely together with Production and Engineering.
  • Put a focus on our time to market for new products by reducing supplier lead-times in case of new product designs or introduction in production.
  • Negotiate Purchasing Agreements.
  • Develop the supplier base
  • Develop the supply chain process, to improve quality, lead times, cost and logistics.
Actively participate in purchasing coordination with the other Vacuum Technique Product Companies
