An exciting opportunity for a Procurement Manager/ Category Manager to join a national regulator for smart energy services within the IT procurement category. Based in London or Manchester, this role is offering a salary of up to \xc2\xa365,000. This Procurement Manager position has been created due to a recent team transformation across the supply chain function.
The successful candidate will have experience with the full end to end procurement process and an understanding of regulated and non-regulated procurement.
Role responsibilities of the Procurement manager:
- Managing, leading and delivering sourcing activity for the telecommunications category, utilising established negotiation, benchmarking, strategic sourcing techniques.
- Collaborating with C-Suite executives from inside and outside the organisation.
- Working in alignment with sustainability policies that aligns with the Net Zero aims within the UK Government.
- Significant sourcing experience with a demonstrable track record of savings delivery.
- An analytical mind-set and comfortable with manipulating large volumes of data.
- Ability to navigate and drive commercial outcomes in an audited, regulated and process driven environment.
