Procurement Manager
to help strengthen our supply chain operations.
The Role
As the primary Buyer, you'll manage the procurement of raw materials, components, and engineered parts critical to our production schedule. You'll work closely with our chemists, production, and quality teams to ensure we receive the right materials, at the right time, to support on-time delivery and cost-effective manufacturing. The position reports to the Finance Director, is responsible for all purchasing and expediting activities, and carries budget responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end purchasing of materials, components, and services
Source and qualify suppliers as required
Negotiate pricing, lead times, and supplier agreements to support cost and efficiency targets
Maintain accurate data of stock values and ensure timely PO placement
Monitor supplier performance (OTIF, quality, responsiveness) and drive corrective actions
Support production by resolving material shortages and supply disruptions quickly
Analyse market trends in raw materials
Global buying, ensuring compliance with import/export regulations
Contribute to cost-reduction, inventory optimisation, and continuous improvement initiatives
Stock control and management including pre and post stock take management
Purchase of Tools and that of input into new tool design (Packaging)
Run checks and action to ensure consistency in delivery dates and goods receipt
Maintenance and development of product costing files
About You
2+ years' purchasing/procurement experience preferably within a
Manufacturing Environment
Understanding of manufacturing processes and IT systems
Experience buying technical components, engineered parts, and raw materials
Confident negotiator with solid supplier management skills
Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving capabilities
Excellent IT skills and familiar with SAGE software
