Neelakrishna Ltd runs a multispeciality store in Dudley and ventures into retail businesses, distributing International foods and groceries to a system of retail businesses from a multi-speciality store to Food stations in Petrol Sites.
We are working to strengthen organic product and health food collection in our offerings for our retail customer base in West Midlands.
Currently, we are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Procurement Manager to lead our procurement processes and work with our existing and New distributors.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing sourcing activities, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely procurement of materials and services to support manufacturing and production processes.
This role requires expertise in ERP systems along with a strong understanding of procurement management, contract negotiation, and supply chain optimization. The
Procurement Manager will play a critical role in maintaining supplier relationships, managing contracts, and implementing category management strategies to drive cost savings and quality improvements.
Duties
Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals, focusing on sourcing, supplier management, and category management.
Lead contract negotiations to secure favorable terms while ensuring compliance with the local standards.
Manage procurement processes using our custom build ERP, which is integrated with the POS..
Oversee supply chain activities including logistics, inventory control, and demand on forecasting through MRP systems.
Participate in Procurenent shows, farmers Markets for collaborating social value creation, sustainable distributors/dealers networks for organic farm food products and international groceries.
Manage issues and excellations related to quality, pricing(exchange values), or delivery delays.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to support production planning and ensure materials availability for manufacturing schedules.
Monitor supplier performance metrics to ensure quality standards are met and foster continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain comprehensive records of contracts, purchase agreements, and supplier evaluations for audit purposes.
Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements affecting procurement activities.
Qualifications
Proven experience in procurement management within manufacturing or supply chain environments.
Strong knowledge of ERP systems Oracle EBS is highly desirable.
Expertise in contract negotiation, contract management, sourcing strategies, and supplier relationship management.
Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure optimal pricing while maintaining quality standards.
Ability to analyze data for root cause analysis and implement effective solutions.
Strong understanding of logistics, materials management, production planning, and quality management principles.
Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments including manufacturing, logistics, finance, and legal teams.
Masters degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is definitive advantage; advanced certifications are a plus.
