We are seeking an experienced and strategic Procurement Manager to oversee the organisation's procurement activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing goods and services, negotiating favourable terms, and managing supplier relationships to ensure the seamless operation of our supply chain. This role requires a proactive approach to optimise procurement processes, minimise costs, and support organisational growth. Candidates should possess strong knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS, along with excellent negotiation skills and a solid understanding of logistics and supply chain management.
Duties
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organisational objectives.
Source and evaluate potential suppliers, ensuring quality standards and cost-effectiveness.
Negotiate contracts, prices, and delivery terms with suppliers to secure favourable agreements.
Manage purchase orders through ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Coordinate logistics to optimise the movement of goods across various locations.
Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure continuous supply.
Analyse market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Collaborate with internal departments to forecast procurement needs and support project requirements.
Ensure compliance with organisational policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar role within a supply chain environment.
Strong proficiency in ERP systems, particularly SAP and Oracle EBS.
Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of securing advantageous terms.
In-depth knowledge of logistics, supply chain management, and procurement best practices.
Ability to analyse data effectively to inform decision-making processes.
Organised with exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Excellent communication skills, capable of building effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
