We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process, ensuring that our supply chain operates efficiently and effectively. This position requires strong negotiation skills, a solid understanding of logistics, and the ability to receive material or equipment purchase / hire requests and arrange in a timely manner to avoid any project disruption
Duties
Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organisational goals.
Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiating contracts to secure advantageous terms.
Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide support throughout the purchasing process.
Monitor supplier performance, conducting regular reviews to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data within ERP systems.
Analyse market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Coordinate logistics for the timely delivery of products, working closely with suppliers and internal teams.
Qualifications
Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management is essential.
Proficiency in using ERP systems, particularly SAP and Oracle EBS.
Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract management.
Excellent understanding of logistics processes and supply chain dynamics.
Ability to analyse data effectively to inform decision-making.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
