About the Post:





The purchasing, procurement and contract management team in the Council are looking to recruit a Procurement Officer to join their team to support the delivery of procurement activities for a range of different contracts to help the council deliver its services.



As a Procurement Officer you will work alongside Procurement Managers and Business Partners to engage proactively with services across the Council to support in the development and delivery of the end to end procurement process, from pre market engagement to evaluation and award, for huge and diverse range of goods, services and works, from things like photocopiers to Council vehicles, and then refurbishment of schools and resurfacing highways to service contract like provision of tuition services for children or adult community support.



You should possess experience of e-procurement systems as well being someone who is adept at working with data and documents and managing their own diverse workload on a day to day basis, in line with an organisations policies and procedures.



The ideal candidate will be committed, energetic, solution focused and able to work as part of a team or own their own, with high standards and a pride in their work and aspiration to learn and develop.
