We are currently seeking a Procurement Officer on behalf of our client in Essex, to join a public sector team! They are a small, close team who work together to manage the tenders for the council - this is a great opportunity for a Junior Procurement Officer looking for the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide end-to-end procurement advice and manage tenders for all Council Services, including leisure services and building works.

Manage the Council's e-tendering system, ensuring staff are trained and supported, and lead the tendering process

Review existing contracts, identifying risks and areas for cost savings.

Develop selection and evaluation schemes for competitive procurement exercises.

Represent the Council at procurement events and collaborate with key stakeholders.

Deliver training on procurement best practises to staff and members.

Ensure transparency by preparing and publishing spend analysis data.
