Job Description

To ensure procurement of goods and services as specified by requesting quotations from reliable suppliers in an efficient sustainable timely and cost-effective manner in line with approved policies and procedures.
ResponsibilitiesMonitor if procurement policies and procedures are followed. Sourcing of competent qualified Vendors. Supplier relationship management. Acquisition of goods and services, price negotiation. Managing purchasing workflow, loading of accurate Requisitions to generate purchase orders send orders to Suppliers. Ensure service providers deliver within agreed lead or delivery times. Keep track on commitment accounting status (open orders report). Making sure all invoices are submitted to Finance before GL closure. Administer Travel and Accommodation bookings. Cash Management. Cost Management. Management of Pool cars monthly reports submission. Filing Any other duties related to procurement. Identify procurement needs and source suppliers for goods and services. Ensure procurement activities align with budgetary constraints and financial goals. Assess supplier reliability, quality, and compliance with banking standards. Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely replenishment. Ensure adherence to procurement laws, internal controls, and risk mitigation strategies. Collaborate with internal departments to understand and fulfil procurement needs.

CompetenciesNegotiation Skills - Ability to secure favourable terms and build strategic supplier relationships. Regulatory Knowledge - Understanding of banking regulations and procurement compliance standards. Analytical Thinking - Ability to assess market trends, supplier performance, and cost efficiency. Financial Acumen - Strong grasp of budgeting, cost control, and financial forecasting. Problem-Solving - Quick decision-making in resolving procurement challenges or delays. Attention to Detail - Precision in contract review, order tracking, and documentation. Communication Skills - Clear interaction with vendors and internal teams across departments. Ethical Integrity - Commitment to transparency, fairness, and anti-corruption practices.

Qualifications and ExperienceDiploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics an added advantage. Certifications such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) or SAPICS an added advantage. 2-3 years in procurement or supply chain roles, preferably in financial services or regulated industries.
