We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement processes, sourcing suppliers, and ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services essential to our operations. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain management, negotiation skills, and experience with ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS. The Procurement Specialist will play a vital role in maintaining cost efficiency and fostering supplier relationships to support organisational objectives.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organisational goals
Source, evaluate, and select suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability
Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms with suppliers to secure favourable agreements
Manage purchase orders within ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS
Coordinate logistics and delivery schedules to ensure timely receipt of goods and services
Monitor inventory levels and forecast future procurement needs based on demand planning
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, supplier performance, and contractual obligations
Collaborate with internal departments to understand their procurement requirements and provide tailored solutions
Analyse market trends and supplier performance metrics to optimise supply chain efficiency
Ensure compliance with organisational policies, legal standards, and ethical practices in all procurement activities
Oversee the daily operations of the Stores Department, including stock control and materials handling
Experience
Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management within a similar industry
Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS is highly desirable
Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing advantageous terms
Knowledge of logistics operations and supply chain processes
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Familiarity with procurement best practices, legal standards, and ethical sourcing principles
Experience working within a fast-paced environment requiring attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills
