Environmental sustainability is a bedrock of our company. We have been a zero-to-landfill site since 2018 and have an on-site state-of-the-art recycling facility and an expert in-house team to facilitate this. Our environmental management system and site have been certified to ISO 14001 standards.
All of Radnor's products are fully recyclable - our plastic bottles and shrink wraps are 100% recyclable and are also made up of 30% recycled material, our cartons are straw free, and our aluminium cans are infinitely recyclable and sourced only 65 miles from our farm in the heart of the Welsh countryside.
In 2023, we opened new expanded production facilities, a quality assurance laboratory and a state-of-the-art office complex and invested 1.8 million in a new solar farm to help power our operations, which now delivers 25% of our electricity.
Radnor is a multi-format facility manufacturing glass, PET, cans and Tetra Pak all from one site. Our customers include all the major multiples as well as schools and independent retailers.
The Role:
We are recruiting an experienced Procurement & Planning Manager to join our team at Radnor Hills. As the Procurement & Planning Manager you will the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, ingredients and syrups for the production process, while also developing and implementing plans to optimise production efficiency and meet customer demand. Support Radnor's overall production objectives by ensuring availability of necessary resources and efficient management of procurement and planning processes.
Main duties will include:
- Develop, implement and manage procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective sourcing of raw materials and packaging materials. Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts and pricing and identify and identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Develop, implement and manage inventory policies and procedures to ensure the efficient and accurate management of raw materials and packaging materials inventory levels. This includes forecasting demand, monitoring inventory levels and managing inventory accuracy to minimise waste and downtime.
- Develop and maintain the production plan to meet customer demand and ensure the efficient use of resources. This includes analysing sales forecasts, coordinating with the sales team, planning production schedules and communicating plans to relevant stakeholders.
- Analyse end-to-end supply chain and identify opportunities for optimisation and improvement. This includes identifying process inefficiencies and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to reduce lead times and improve quality.
- Develop and manage budgets for procurement and planning activities, ensuring that expenditures are in line with financial targets. This includes monitoring and controlling costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing cost reduction initiatives.
- Responsible for the management of the Procurement and Planning team including monitoring performance, conducting annual reviews, setting objectives, supporting and developing individuals.
Candidate requirements:
- Level 5 ISM Purchasing Management
- Level 3 Food Safety
- IOSH
- 3-5 years' management experience in procurement, production planning and inventory control
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain management
- Familiarity with a procurement and planning system such as ERP, MRP or SAGE
- Previous people management experience
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office

Hours and Location:
This role is based at our main site in Knighton, Powys and you will be required to work 40-hours per week, Monday to Friday. We offer a competitive salary dependent upon experience.
