We are seeking a

Procurement Specialist

to join our growing Supply Chain team.

Job Overview


Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials, consumables, and outsourced services. This includes handling both routine and complex purchase requirements, supporting supplier performance, and contributing to strategic procurement activity such as cost-saving initiatives and contractual negotiations.

Please note:

Due to the seasonal and time-sensitive nature of motorsport,

occasional weekend support may be required during peak periods

Key Responsibilities



Source and procure raw materials, consumables, and sub-contracted services Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers, including price, lead time, and service levels Maintain supplier relationships and performance data (OTD, NCRs, cost variance) Support the Supply Chain Manager in tracking usage trends and identifying cost-saving opportunities Ensure compliance with customer-specific procurement processes (e.g. free-issue materials, traceability) Assist in managing critical materials and resolving shortages with minimal impact on production Collaborate with stores, dispatch, planning, and engineering teams to align supply with demand

Experience



Proven experience in a procurement or purchasing role within motorsport, aerospace, or other time-critical manufacturing environment Familiarity with composite materials and technical specifications Experience using MRP or ERP systems Exposure to inventory and stock control processes CIPS Level 3 or Level 4 (Diploma) is desirable Confident in negotiating pricing and commercial terms with suppliers Excellent communication and supplier relationship management skills Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general office software Ability to work flexibly and handle changing priorities in a high-pressure setting other time-critical manufacturing environment Confident in negotiating pricing and commercial terms with suppliers Excellent communication and supplier relationship management skills Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general office software Ability to work flexibly and handle changing priorities in a high-pressure setting Familiarity with composite materials and technical specifications Experience using MRP or ERP systems Exposure to inventory and stock control processes CIPS Level 3 or Level 4 (Diploma) is desirable
