Role Summary





The Procurement Team Lead would be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the entire procurement process, with a focus on optimizing costs, enhancing supplier relationships and commercial terms, improving procurement and supplier invoicing processes, maintaining compliance with procedures, and driving business decisions through data-backed insights.
Working cross-functionally with Legal, Platforms & Data, and other departments, the Procurement Team Lead will ensure alignment of procurement strategies with organizational goals. The role also oversees policy development, compliance, ESG objectives, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities


Lead end-to-end procurement and supplier invoice processing.
Develop, implement, and maintain procurement policies and procedures; train staff to ensure compliance.
Define and oversee procurement-related ESG objectives.

Maintain and optimize the contract database and Sage Intacct requisition/purchasing modules.
Collaborate with internal teams across departments, geographies, and time zones--especially Legal--for supplier contracting.
Build and manage strong vendor relationships.
Oversee vendor renewals, ensuring timely approvals and proactive management.
Ensure planned and actual vendor spend is accurately reflected in PO and finance systems.
Manage a small team responsible for vendor onboarding, requisitions, purchase orders, invoice processing, account reconciliation, and payments.
Develop and execute vendor-specific savings plans through negotiation, creative contract terms, and long-term agreements.
Act as a key liaison between procurement and business units to ensure transparency and alignment.

People Skills:


Working with both external vendors and internal teams across various departments, countries and time zones with a demonstrated career showing both



Customer Service / External Impact:



Experience with Technology vendors including SaaS preferable (including AWS, Microsoft, Google, etc). Negotiation of contracts with such parties which would involve contacts, processing of sensitive information and a high level of professionalism.




Decision-Making:



Highly experienced in negotiation and decision making with internal and external parties in order to secure the optimum solutions for Diaceutics.




Initiative and Independence:



Ability to work on own initiative in a high paced environment leading the company's P2P dept.

Knowledge and Specialist Skills:

Education

- A level minimum or equivalent AND/OR CIPS qualification or equivalent

Experience


3-4 years in a similar role with Proven track record of successfully managing a team and driving results in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organisational and time management capabilities.
Computer and Software Knowledge and Skills - Advanced skills Microsoft Office Suite and Finance systems. Sage Intacct desirable.
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and contract negotiations.
Strong knowledge of purchasing processes within a Finance dept.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Be goal orientated and have excellent time management skills.
Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry standards in procurement.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with vendors.
