About the Role





We are seeking a

Procurement Transformation Director - 12 mth FTC

to lead a high-impact, multi-year transformation of our procurement function. This pivotal role will provide strategic leadership, shape the target operating model, and deliver sustainable value creation across the organisation. Acting as a senior change agent, you will influence C-suite decisions, embed a high-performance culture, and ensure procurement becomes a driver of operational excellence and innovation.


This is a highly visible role requiring bold leadership, deep technical expertise, and the ability to deliver results across a complex organisation.

Key Accountabilities



Strategic Leadership:

Define and own the procurement transformation strategy aligned with corporate objectives

Transformation Roadmap:

Develop and deliver a multi-year roadmap aligned with business strategy

Financial Impact:

Accountable for delivering EBITDA betterment

Target Operating Model:

Design and implement a future-ready procurement operating model

Technology Enablement:

Approve and deliver a digital roadmap, including touchless processing and guided buying workflows

Shared Services:

Develop and implement a shared service model to enhance efficiency and reduce cost to serve

Process Excellence:

Re-engineer procurement processes to ensure compliance, governance, and best practice adoption

Change Management:

Drive cultural adoption and stakeholder engagement across the organisation

Governance & Compliance:

Establish robust frameworks ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal standards

Performance & Value Creation:

Set KPIs, monitor progress, and deliver measurable outcomes beyond cost savings

Executive Engagement:

Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and influence board-level decisions

Team Leadership:

Lead, motivate, and develop procurement professionals, fostering continuous improvement

Key Dimensions





Accountable for all procurement transformation activity and delivery Authorised to approve sourcing plans and contract awards in line with delegated authority. Engagement with directors and leaders across multiple business units. Financially accountable for complex business cases and risk mitigation

Candidate Profile





We are looking for a proven leader with:



Demonstrable experience in target operating model design and implementation is essential Extensive experience in procurement transformation at Director or senior leadership level Experience of working in a large, complex organisation within retail, FMCG, consumer-based industries or similar Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, including C-suite and board-level interaction Expertise in digital procurement tools, analytics, and process optimisation Strategic mindset with ability to deliver value beyond cost savings Proven ability to lead large-scale change programmes under tight timelines Change management expertise with demonstrable success in cultural adoption SAP Ariba / S4Hana experience desirable
