?We are seeking a talented Chemistry or Biochemistry graduate who is keen to apply their knowledge and experience outside of the laboratory. As a Product Analyst at Apollo Scientific, you'll be part of a team offering day-to-day support to colleagues across the company, as well as working on data analysis and content creation projects aligned with the company's ambitious goals.
The role requires a knowledge of chemistry, commercial awareness and experience working with large datasets. The candidate must be comfortable working with numeric/ scientific data combined with a drive to improve processes. This role will require collaboration across the Sales/ Purchasing/ Production and Marketing departments with a focus on providing relevant and accurate technical data.

Key tasks:
To analyse sales data to develop commercial insights to guide both procurement and sales strategies; identifying, interpreting and communicating business trends, risks and opportunities.
To conduct competitor analysis and implement strategies to grow market share.
Able to build dashboards for other departments to quicky visualise data and share information required to monitor key objectives and streamline processes.
Ability to populate and maintain the chemical database which links to website/SAP (database).
To create customer catalogues and evaluate pricing strategy.
To research and review catalogue prices to ensure optimal position in the market.
To maintain quality, consistency, relevance, and accuracy of data.
Able to identify the correct hazard classification of material from online databases and supplier documentation.
Ability to create written chemical content for external publications, marketing materials and websites.
To work closely with associated teams, communicating updates and opportunities, and attend meetings and events as required.
Education/Experience/Skills:
Bachelor's degree Chemistry/ Biochemistry or Life Sciences (Essential)
Ability to use chemical databases and experience of using chemical drawing packages such as Chemsketch, BioviaDraw or similar (Essential)
A working knowledge of using a database (SAP B1 HANA - preferable)
Knowledge of Microsoft 365 - in particular Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint (Essential)
Knowledge of using Power BI/ Power Automate/ Power Apps/ Power query (Advantageous)
Knowledge of Python (advantageous)
Understanding of SQL (advantageous)
