Morson are working with one of our Clients who are a leader within the Aerospace and Defence sector. Looking to speak with experienced Product Change Leaders who also posses Project Management backgrounds as you will be responsible for the end to end process of the modifications that you are allocated to within the business.

The core of your role will be to drive product changes (mods) through the Aircraft Change Process. You will represent the Wing "Value Stream Management" department, with some exposure to senior management-led forums both locally and transnationally. You will work with a wide network of stakeholders, both locally and transnationally. You will be responsible for the end-to-end project management of the mods you're allocated. You will be accountable for the on Time, Cost and Quality delivery of those mods.

This role focuses on _Flow_ mods (i.e. mods of <300kEUR) that impact SA Wing production, including the major assembly suppliers.

Additionally there may be opportunities to work on Major Modifications (i.e. mods of >300kEUR), Major Industrial Problems, Major In-Service Problems, mods impacting Final Assembly Lines.

Given the varied and far reaching nature of the role, this is a fantastic opportunity for personal and professional development.

Tasks & accountabilities:

Your main task is to progress your allocated mods through the Aircraft Change Process Kick off Board: Investigate and launch change request.

Maturity Board: Evaluate technical proposal and its impacts to manufacturing & in-service. Decision Board: Evaluate commercial and programme impacts and launch mod. You remain accountable for the modification until its closure. Thus It's incumbent on you to drumbeat multi functional team(s) and suppliers through various milestones and deliverables, namely Critical Design Review (CDR) + Design for manufacture (DFM). Condition of supply changes (COSCR). Creation and cascade of new parts demand + regular monitoring of parts supply. Help to plan/organise any production trials and/or First Implementation Checks (FIC). Maintain accuracy of configuration and MRP toolsets (e.g. SAP). Capture and document properly any lessons learnt or further work required (MOD closure).
Additionally, you are responsible to ensure proper project management, provide regular progress updates to management and highlight/mitigate (escalate where required) risks/issues proactively.

Required skills:

Strong project management skills/experience PMP certification would be highly desirable. A general appreciation for configuration management, specifically product changes. Thus, an existing or previous ICC_ACP and/or ACC2 user would be beneficial. Alternatively the candidate would have experience in fields such as CA attestation (CAIR). Understanding of SA Wing design or manufacturing processes would also be highly desirable. Thus, candidates with past experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering, Quality and/or Production are beneficial, ideally gained within UK or a tier-1 supplier. An appreciation for material requirements planning would be desirable. Thus, an existing SAP-APD, SAP-ARP and/or AirSupply user would be beneficial.

About the person:

The successful candidate must be willing to constructively challenge others and have the resilience to overcome obstacles at regular intervals. This is the most critical requirement. Drive and tenacity to implement changes on Time, Cost and Quality.
- Ability to work autonomously and methodically within a changing - at times uncertain - environment, making high levels of personal organisation necessary to succeed.

Ability to grasp ambiguous and/or complex problems and propose solutions, making the role most suitable to a critical and/or analytical thinker. * Ability to work with and influence a vast array of stakeholders, making effective communication and presentation skills necessary to succeed.
