What's the role? xe2x80xa6The Product Designer is responsible for creating new and improved experiences for our residents, from initial concept, discovery and user research, through to prototyping and usability testing, to delivering new solutions into production with our software development teams.Ability to understand how a variety of technology systems work together, then use of design skills to create simple and usable UI and prototypes that effectively communicate how we can bring this to life for our residents. Highly independent and self-driven, with the ability to influence stakeholders across the business to incorporate design and research into their products.In this role, you will be dedicated to our housing products and services, working on design solutions such as how residents pay their rent or report anti social behaviour, and how our staff can manage these requests more seamlessly.What's in it for you?Excellent training and development opportunities, plus a range of benefits including:

What we're looking forHighly experienced designing and shipping end-to-end experiences across native app and responsive web that are used by a wide range of end users.Highly experienced conducting both qualitative and quantitative research and interpreting results - for example user research, usability testing and focus groups.Significant experience of conducting research both in person, and remotely, including use of online user research and testing tools.Excellent persuasive skills, ability to present clearly your design journey, from research, through prototype and into production.Expertise designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma and Sketch.Working with software development team to ensure designs are delivered to a high standard, including quality checking designs in test environmentsLocationThe job is primarily based in Laurence House, but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.Special conditions
  • Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Product Design, User Experience Design, or a related field (desirable)
  • Working at various Lewisham offices and public buildings for user research.
