We're a small but mighty ecommerce business based in Sheffield, specialising in aftermarket marine diesel engine parts. Our mission is simple: to help keep boats on the water longer - promoting sustainability by reducing unnecessary engine replacements and waste. With a growing, global customer base and a pipeline of exciting new products, we're driven by precision, innovation, and delivering exceptional value to our customers. To support our growth, we're looking for a Technical Customer Support Specialist to join our dynamic, talented team.
The Role
As a Product Development Specialist, you'll play a key role in our technical team, driving improvements and expansion across our product range. You'll improve existing products by using CAD software, validate concepts with 3D-printed prototypes, and work closely with manufacturers to ensure final parts meet both performance and cost expectations.
You'll also help identify gaps in our current offering by researching what additional products customers need and sourcing the right components to meet that demand.
This role is perfect for someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and excited by the chance to build robust products that solve real-world problems for customers around the world. While the position is integrated with the technical team, there is a strong emphasis on self-management and initiative.
Key Responsibilities

Use CAD software to create accurate, functional component designs based on legacy part specifications, or observed product market gaps.
?
Rapid Prototyping:

?
Technical Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams - including support and purchasing - to understand recurring customer issues and spot opportunities for new or improved products.
?
Documentation:
Create and maintain engineering drawings, material and tolerance specifications, and revision control for all engineered parts.
About You
