GSK R&D and Digital and Tech\xe2\x80\x99s collective goal is to deliver business impact, including the acceleration of the discovery and development of medicines and vaccines to patients.

GSK Development and Development Digital & Tech are in the final stages of delivering on a multiyear investment aimed at modernizing the clinical development landscape. In order to ensure we maximize the value of the data we generate using these new systems in combination with the data assets we acquire externally, new teams in both the R&D Development and Development Digital & Tech organizations are being established to focus on the governance and design.

The Role:

The Product Director of Analytics Enablement plays a key role in maximizing the value of GSK data, enabling us to accelerate the delivery of medicines and vaccines to our patients.

As the Product Director of Analytics Enablement, you will be accountable for the vision, strategy, and roadmap for a suite of products aimed at supporting data consumers (end users) in finding and using GSKs R&D data. This includes but is not limited to data marketplace, search, usage analytics, ML Ops & exploratory analytics capabilities. You will partner closely with the data product directors responsible for the design and delivery of data products in the development data mesh and the federated community of Biostatisticians, AI-ML experts and Data Analysts in the R&D business units. You will lead a persistent team of product owners and engineers applying the agile delivery methodology to accelerate product progression and value to customers.

Role responsibilities:

  • Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for analytics enablement to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage the product lifecycle, from ideation to launch to iteration, using agile methodologies and user feedback.
  • Prioritize product backlogs in line with GSK strategy with a view towards incremental value delivery and \xe2\x80\x98fail fast\xe2\x80\x99 experimentation (where appropriate)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including stakeholders and subject matter experts in the Development organization, data product owners, data engineers, etc.., to deliver end-to-end solutions that meet user needs and business goals
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics for the product and its features.
  • Maintain deep knowledge and understanding of leading as well as emerging technologies in this space (e.g. data mesh, genAI\xe2\x80\xa6). Provide thought leadership regarding experimentation with and/or application of these in the context of GSK objectives
  • Lead a persistent team of product owners and engineers applying agile delivery methodology.
Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or higher in computer science or engineering
  • 8+ years of experience delivering data products, preferably in pharma R&D analytics
  • Proven track record of delivering successful products that solve complex problems and create value for users and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of pharma R&D data (challenges and opportunities).
  • Understanding of mesh technology and its applications in pharma R&D analytics, such as data integration, data governance, data quality, data security, data lineage, data cataloging, data discovery, data access, data sharing, data collaboration, etc.
  • Experience implementing analytics, ML Ops platforms and tools
Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and best practices for product development and delivery.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Vendor management (software and/or contract work force)
