The Role

As our Product Governance & Oversight Specialist, you will work alongside the Head of Product Governance to deliver key strategic and regulatory initiatives, including Consumer Duty, Fair Value Assessments, distributor oversight, and improving policy wordings. Your work will ensure our products meet regulatory standards whilst delivering the best outcomes for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Consumer Duty Oversight: Manage structured testing processes to enhance all customer communications and ensure remediation plans are implemented for any poor-value schemes.

Policy Wording & Clarity: Lead key projects, including simplifying and improving the readability of policy wordings and documents using AI-based assessments.

Distributor Oversight: Manage third-party distributor relationships, onboard new distributors, and ensure contractual compliance.

Governance & Reporting: Compile and deliver board-level reports, maintain oversight logs, and continuously enhance governance processes.

Drive Product Strategy: Support quarterly product reviews, streamline product structures, and implement initiatives to improve customer outcomes and pricing clarity.

What We're Looking For

This is a role for an experienced professional with a proven ability to balance strategic goals with regulatory requirements. You'll be passionate about driving improvements, detail-oriented, and a confident communicator who can influence stakeholders at all levels.

Your Skills & Experience:

Strong understanding of the UK insurance market and regulatory frameworks such as FCA, Consumer Duty, and IDD.

Proven experience in designing or refining insurance-related customer documentation and policy wordings.

A background in distributor governance, compliance monitoring and managing third-party relationships.

Exceptional communication skills - capable of distilling and presenting complex topics concisely.

A collaborative mindset and the ability to engage with teams across all levels of the organisation.

Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Adobe InDesign.
