As a Product Lead for the Tools & Workwear Category you will develop affordable and sustainable innovation in Own Exclusive Brands (OEB), by being more agile in new product development and be more impactful on performance.
What's the job?:
Create a closer proximity to our customers. Building a deeper knowledge and understanding of their lives and homes. Provide an effective brief to the Customer Insight team to ensure they are clear on data requirements needed to drive the right activity. Ability to translate this knowledge into both a short- and long-term strategic plan identifying the key levers that will drive overall growth for your area of accountability
Take a lead role on identifying New Product Development opportunities, inputting into eligibility criteria, and using the Business direction. Project manage all selected OEB projects/ranges from concept and Range construction through to delivery. Leading a cross functional expert team (designers, engineers, quality, brand, packaging etc.)
Create the environment and space to engage effectively with the Banners to present our OEB strategy and create supporting materials. Understand the potential additions to the Banners 'ask', to take the OEB range to the full potential.
What you'll bring:
Strategic thinking and vision and the ability to translate that into a strategic plan
Strong analytical skills to draw insight from a variety of commercial and customer data points and identify trends
Previous industry and product knowledge in Tools and Workwear within a retail environment
Expertise and the practical application of New Product Development processes
Strong commercial acumen with an ability to analyse and understand financial data and measure business performance.
Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively and maintain relationships within a matrix organisation.
Excellent project management skills
