This Product Manager role will be heavily focused on R&D, testing future ideas that could improve our solution. Working in front of the commercial delivery team to be one step ahead and push the boundaries of what we do today. Investigating cutting & bleeding edge opportunities and how they can push our solution to new areas.

The product manager will work closely with Product Managers, Climate science, data engineers and other departments in Sage like Sage AI.

  • Squad based delivery: Define and own your squads, short and long-term roadmaps, including business cases, user stories, customer experience, and rapid delivery in an Agile environment.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Foster tight partnerships with key stakeholders. This role requires strong relationships with peers on climate science, data, and technology teams.
  • Technical Fluency: You are not an engineer, but you understand data, how products get built and can use that knowledge to work with your global product and engineering partners to make smart decisions.
  • Data: Lead the success of the service, determined by evidence & data.
  • Fail fast mentality: Ability to move quick and test ideas fast.
Skills, know-how and experience:

Essential:
  • Data driven decision making
  • Testing ideas to understand value
  • Managing a squad of multi-disciplined skills from around the business
  • Experience of listening, probing and interpreting needs of various stakeholders (From climate science to data analysts to the CEO to customers)
  • Product roadmap management
  • Strategy development and translation of strategy to a plan
  • Presenting and media interaction
Desirable:
  • Experience of cloud and/or financial services products
  • Experience of Jira (task managing tool), Aha (roadmap tool) and Figma (design tool)
  • Climate science experience (Carbon Accounting, Greenhouse Gas Protocol)
