The overall purpose of the role

Lead the Product Department by combining strategic product management with hands-on product development responsibilities. This role ensures the delivery of a profitable, innovative, and market-relevant product portfolio through effective life cycle management, new product development, and technical execution. The Product Manager will drive speed to market, maintain quality standards, and foster collaboration across commercial and technical streams.

Key Responsibilities

Department Leadership

Manage and develop the product team, setting clear objectives and conducting performance reviews. Allocate resources and balance workloads across product management and development activities. Foster a collaborative culture where team members support each other flexibly.

Product Strategy & Life-cycle

Own the product strategy and road-map for all markets. Oversee full product life-cycle management: concept, launch, optimisation, and phase-out. Conduct regular life-cycle reviews and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

New Product Development

Lead the development of new products from concept through to launch. Assess technical feasibility, coordinate prototyping, and oversee testing processes. Work closely with the China-Based Buyer to ensure supplier capability and cost efficiency. Gather new product concepts and re-engineering projects for European Management Team (EMT) approval.

Product Re-engineering

Identify opportunities for product improvements and cost optimisation. Lead technical modifications and ensure compliance with quality and sustainability standards.

Commercial Management

Develop pricing strategies, margin analysis, and business cases for new products. Monitor product performance and implement corrective actions to achieve revenue and profitability targets.

Documentation & Compliance

Ensure all technical documentation, specifications, and instructions are accurate and complete. Maintain compliance with quality, safety, and sustainability standards. Ensure PIM data is maintained

Stakeholder Engagement

Act as the primary liaison with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to align product priorities with business goals. Present product plans and performance updates to senior leadership.

Skills & Experience

Proven experience in

product management and development roles

, ideally within a B2B environment. Strong

commercial acumen

and ability to manage pricing, margins, and profitability. Excellent

technical knowledge

of manufacturing processes, materials, and prototyping. Strong

project management skills

and ability to deliver multiple concurrent projects. Experience in

international sourcing and supplier engagement

, ideally with China-based suppliers. Familiarity with

PIM/ERP systems

and digital product data management. Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications; design software knowledge preferred.

Pay: 50,000.00-55,000.00 per year
