Role Purpose
The Product Manager - Underfloor Heating, will report to the Divisional Managing Director and play a key role in leading the development, growth, and performance of the UFH category within Instantor.
This role will drive strategy creation, product development, technical design support, and customer engagement, while ensuring commercial success. The successful candidate will combine commercial acumen with technical expertise to position Instantor as the partner of choice in the UFH market.
This is a full-time permanent role based either in the UK or Dublin (with some travel across UK and Ireland)
Key Responsibilities
Shape and deliver the 5-year growth strategy for the UFH category.
Drive the design, specification, pricing, and launch of new UFH products and systems.
Establish and develop a technical design and support service for UFH customers, including CAD drawings and installation guidance.
Provide technical expertise and deliver training for customers and staff.
Support the external sales team to grow sales of UFH systems through distributor and merchant channels.
Build and manage key customer relationships, acting as category ambassador.
Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, R&D, Supply Chain, and Finance to deliver growth and profitability targets.
Key Requirements
Experience & Knowledge
5+ years' experience in product management, category management, or technical sales within HVAC/heating (UFH preferred).
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent underfloor heating industry experience).
Relevant technical or heating industry qualifications desirable.
Strong understanding of heating systems design, installation practices, and building services.
Proven track record of delivering product and category growth.
Commercially driven and experience with managing relationships with distributors, contractors, consultants, and installers.
Skills & Competencies
Strategic thinker with ability to translate strategy into action.
Strong technical and design capability; CAD/design software experience desirable.
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Strong project management and organisational ability.
Collaborative and team-oriented, able to influence across departments.
