Company Overview

ID-ware is a specialist provider of Physical Identity & Access Management (PIAM) solutions, supporting government, public sector organisations, critical national infrastructure, enterprise, and industry. As part of the international ID-ware Group, we design and deliver scalable, cloud-native platforms that enable secure physical access, credential management, and digital identity operations across Europe.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to work closely with the CTO, Principal Developer, and cross-functional colleagues across the UK and wider group. You will be responsible for our roadmap, requirements, and delivery outcomes of our enterprise PIAM platform, enabling the management of physical identity data, secure credentials, and access control at scale.

This is a senior individual contributor role, combining strategic thinking with hands-on product ownership. You will be responsible for shaping product vision, translating complex requirements into clear deliverables, and ensuring alignment between business needs, technical teams, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Ownership

Define and communicate the product vision, roadmap, and priorities for the PIAM platform. Align product outcomes with commercial goals, client needs, and regulatory requirements. Translate compliance and security requirements into actionable user stories and features. Maintain a clear backlog with prioritised epics and well-defined acceptance criteria.

Discovery & Research

Run product discovery sessions with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders. Capture insights from user feedback, market research, and industry trends. Validate hypotheses with prototypes, proofs of concept, and user testing.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work hand-in-hand with Engineering to refine requirements and guide implementation. Collaborate with Design/UX to ensure features deliver intuitive, user-centric experiences. Partner with QA and DevOps to define release criteria, testing approaches, and deployment readiness. Engage with Sales, Marketing, and Client Services to support go-to-market initiatives.

Delivery Leadership

Lead agile product ceremonies: backlog refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Ensure clear documentation of requirements, product specs, and release notes. Track progress and manage trade-offs between scope, time, and quality. Actively measure and report on product KPIs and client adoption metrics.
