Duties




We currently have an exciting opportunity for a

PRODUCT MANAGER

to join our Inorganics Team.


Reporting to the Business Director Inorganics, you will develop the Product Portfolio to maximise profit and achieve agreed targets.


Key Responsibilities and Tasks




Work together with the Inorganics Business Director and EPM, as well as BCS, on sourcing Negotiate with suppliers on non-centrally managed products, to secure appropriate purchase/distribution agreements and prices Identify new/potential suppliers/products with EPM / Business Director, and recommend and implement appropriate action plans Meet with suppliers to review business when needed Report & analyze results monthly across the EU Inorganics Team Collate and present market information to sales, providing commercial input on all matters relating to product pricing and availability Work closely with sales functions, communicating clearly what products/targets should have focus, always mindful of the right PVP logic approach Support of sales, through engagement with prospect customers. Join both virtual and physical customer meetings, to assist sales in winning business Effectively launch new products into the product range and ensure appropriate personnel receive the relevant training Work closely with marketing and digital on projects Control selling prices to maximise gross margins through maintenance of pricing tools and systems Take corrective actions where appropriate to recover business, review and assess the portfolio of products/suppliers Establish and monitor and update selling schedules for products Improve margins not only through the cost of goods, but also by supporting any relevant market or value driven pricing initiatives Communicate efficiently and make (quick) commercial decisions when required Assist in the preparation of annual targets/budgets Review performance against agreed targets Liaise with stock controllers to determine forecasts and appropriate stock levels Manage interface with colleagues, improving incoming service levels/delivery performance etc via VPM and other appropriate means Interact between stock/sites/suppliers and sales on commercial matters including product availability forecasting and allocation Liaise with stock controllers on deciding most appropriate source of material where applicable Identify aged stock and take appropriate actions, highlighting necessary actions for any unproductive inventory, and reviewing and actioning DSI data Management of one Business Coordinator (Direct Report). Take responsibility for their personal development, utilising available digital and HR related tools



We Are Looking For




Strong commercial operator, with a proven track record in delivering growth and high motivational levels driving a desire to succeed Good numeracy and statistics skills and must have knowledge of Excel and knowledge of current business tools (e.g. Salesforce, Tableau would be beneficial) Ability to communicate efficiently and with candor and haste when required Flexibility is required to meet the varying tasks that the role requires You will strive for excellence in your accuracy of information whilst maintaining a calm approach You should have the ability to meet all strict deadlines You must be customer focused, providing excellent service at all times and it is essential that you're a good team player
