Product Manger

London, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

About the Role

We're looking for a Product Manager to join Aventur at an exciting and formative stage. We're pre-MVP, building our first direct-to-consumer AI guidance product, and transforming from a tech-enabled advice firm into a product organisation. This is a role for someone who thrives in the early stages of a startup -- where clarity emerges through doing, and where your contribution will directly shape what we build and how we grow.

Your role

Lead product discovery and definition:

Work with the Product Lead, the founders, and Design to translate vision into strategy, roadmap, and backlog. Define requirements, log assumptions, and decide what we build first.

Bridge product and engineering:

Collaborate with Engineering Management and developers on implementation, sprint planning, and ticket management. Ensure product vision translates into deliverable features.

Drive user research and analytics:

Validate assumptions and test prototypes with users alongside Design. Conduct user interviews and testing sessions. Use Amplitude analytics to understand consumer behaviour.

Manage the MVP delivery:

Develop the product roadmap and backlog with the Product Lead for our Q1 2026 launch. Prioritise ruthlessly and balance speed with quality.

Build product operations:

Introduce templates, processes, analytics, and documentation that will scale. Establish foundations of our product function.

Collaborate with Partnerships

: to implement partner-facing products and functionality to support multi-channel distribution of our products and services across D2C, B2B2C and B2B.
What We're Looking For

Startup mindset & prioritisation:

You're comfortable with the realities of early-stage startups -- shifting priorities, evolving requirements, and the need to be versatile rather than specialised. You understand that "ambiguity" isn't a challenge to be solved, it's simply the nature of building something new. You can prioritise what we focus on alongside the Product Lead and the founders.

Hands-on approach:

You're not precious about your remit. Whether it's writing product briefs, coordinating user research, or jumping into sprint planning, you'll do what needs doing to move the product forward.

Remote collaboration skills:

For the first 9 months, you'll report to our Product Lead based in the AEST timezone (Australia). You're flexible about working hours and comfortable with asynchronous communication, whilst maintaining strong relationships across distance. This means occasional 8am/9am meetings or 7pm/8pm meetings as is needed by the team. Excellent asynchronous communication will streamline this.

Product management experience:

You've worked in product management before, in fintech or consumer-facing digital finance products. You understand the fundamentals -- user research, roadmap planning, backlog management, and working with engineering teams.

Technical fluency:

Whilst you don't need to be a developer, you're comfortable discussing technical implementation, understanding constraints, and making informed trade-offs between ideal and achievable. You're also comfortable mapping out high-level technical requirements to collaborate with engineering management and product design.
Our Stack

We use a range of tools and platforms to support collaboration, development, and communication across the team:

Communication & Collaboration

Microsoft Teams:

Primary platform for team communication and video calls.

Notion and JIRA:

Documentation, project management, roadmaps, and knowledge base. Our Product Board tracks initiatives and sprint planning.

OKRs

: Aventur use Objectives and Key Results to drive measurable, ambitious progress.
Design & Development

Figma:

Our design tool for creating prototypes, user flows, and maintaining design systems. We use it extensively for onboarding flows and app development.

AWS Bedrock:

Cloud infrastructure for our LLM and AI capabilities.

Amplitude:

Our analytics platform for tracking user behaviour, measuring engagement, and informing product decisions with data-driven insights.

FCA Sandbox

: we're actively contributing to the future of financial guidance, and targeted support, through partnership with the FCA Sandbox initiative in 2026/early 2026.
AI Fluency & Technical Skills

Understanding of LLMs:

You grasp how Large Language Models work in consumer products and can judge when AI adds genuine value versus being "flashy".

Agentic AI and orchestration:

You're familiar with orchestration frameworks, context management, and tool calling. You can design AI systems that minimise hallucinations using frameworks like Pydantic.

Context integration:

You understand and can identify what information should be retrievable versus computed or hard-coded.

Prompt engineering and UX:

You understand effective AI products require careful prompt design and interface considerations. You can create AI experiences that feel conversational yet controlled.

Emerging AI tooling:

You stay informed on developments like Model Context Protocol (MCP), voice interfaces, and can contribute to roadmap discussions about future AI capabilities.
What Success Looks Like

Contribute to shipping our MVP by Q1 2026 with clear analytics and product-market fit signals Establishing product processes and documentation that will scale with the team Building strong working relationships with engineering, design, and advice functions Delivering a product experience that users genuinely value and want to recommend Building the future of the product, and the product team, at Aventur
The Future

With the right candidate, this opportunity could develop into a senior product leader in Aventur as we approach further Product team expansion and fundraising in 2026.

Location & Working Arrangements

London based, with regular collaboration across AEST and UK timezones until May 2026 when the Product Lead will be U.K. based. After this, arrangements can be flexible but primarily London-based and within a U.K. time zone.

This opportunity cannot be overstated. Aventur are innovation and thought leaders in the guidance and advance space. You must understand this opportunity to reshape U.K. and global financial guidance and advice.
