You'll set the vision for new retirement journeys, working in partnership with other Product Owners to ensure alignment and deliver innovative, joined-up solutions for customers.

Strategic thinking, initiative, and a deep understanding of the retirement landscape are essential, as is the ability to influence at all levels and champion change.

About the role

Shape and drive the strategy for connecting customers to broader retirement options, identifying opportunities for innovation and growth. Build and maintain a long-term roadmap for new retirement solutions, informed by market trends, customer needs, and regulatory change. Develop compelling business cases for investment in new propositions, using data and insight to demonstrate value. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and fellow Product Owners to deliver initiatives from concept to market, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer outcomes. Ensure all developments are compliant with regulatory requirements and deliver measurable commercial and customer outcomes. Monitor product performance, track benefits, manage budgets and risks, and use data to drive decisions and improvements. Coach and support Proposition Analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and high performance within the team.

Significant experience in product ownership, strategy, or proposition development within financial services, ideally with a focus on retirement, pensions, or wealth. Exceptional strategic thinking and initiative, with a track record of delivering innovative solutions. Strong understanding of agile delivery, backlog management, and product lifecycle. Comfortable with ambiguity and able to pivot quickly as priorities evolve. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to influence and inspire at all levels. Deep understanding of the retirement market, customer needs, and emerging trends. Analytical and data-driven, able to measure and articulate the commercial impact of product decisions. Tenacious, resilient, and positive, with a clear focus on delivering measurable outcomes for customers and the business. Collaborative, with a track record of working effectively with peers to deliver shared goals.
