Salary: 40,000 - 50,000 per annum



Location: Hybrid - Although our head office is in Cardiff, this position can be based anywhere



Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5:30pm



Job Status: Permanent

Main Purpose of The Role:




An exciting opportunity has arisen within AutosOnShow, a rapidly growing software arm of BCA. We are looking for a Product Readiness Engineer to act as the vital bridge between our development teams and our operational environments.



Working with some of the world's best-known companies, your primary role will be to ensure our in-house engineering products are scalable, secure, and ready for enterprise production. You will form a gatekeeper role within the development lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities:





Operational Readiness: Review and validate AWS cloud environments to ensure new products meet our high standards for security and scalability Knowledge Orchestration: Lead the transition of products from "Development" to "Live Service." This includes creating internal documentation, writing external user guides, and orchestrating product demonstrations for support teams Feedback Loops: Act as the liaison between customer facing teams and the Product teams. You will analyse the effectiveness of changes and feed operational data back to drive a continuous improvement model Stakeholder Management: Collaborate effectively across multiple teams, communicating technical concepts to internal developers, managers, and external client stakeholders

Knowledge and Experience Required:





We are looking for a mid-level engineer who is comfortable getting their hands dirty in the code and the infrastructure. You should have strong proficiency in:



Cloud Infrastructure: AWS (Essential) OS: Linux (Ubuntu/RedHat) Scripting & Coding: Python and Bash CI/CD & Deployment: GitLab and AWS Code Deploy Containerisation: Kubernetes Databases: SQL and DynamoDB

We are looking for a problem-solver with 3-5 years of experience in a technical role. You might currently be working in DevOps, Release Engineering, or high-level Service Delivery.



BSc in Computer Science Proven experience working with Service Delivery principles and AWS cloud environments You must be an exceptional communicator. The ability to work across multiple teams and translate "Dev talk" into "Ops reality" is crucial.
