About the Role

We are looking for a resourceful, commercially driven individual to join our team as a Sourcing & Product Launch Specialist. This part-time role (20 hours per week) focuses on reducing costs across our existing product range through strategic supplier sourcing, while also supporting new product development (NPD) projects from concept through to market launch.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who loves tracking down the best suppliers, negotiating effectively, and thinking creatively to deliver value. The ideal candidate will be proactive, independent, and excited by the challenge of uncovering new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier Sourcing & Cost Reduction

- Identify and evaluate new suppliers for existing products to reduce costs and improve margins. - Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms to secure optimal deals. - Benchmark current suppliers and explore alternative materials or production methods. - Build and maintain positive supplier relationships.

New Product Development (NPD)

- Work from NPD product lists to source suppliers or manufacturers capable of producing new products. - Obtain quotations, samples, and production options. - Support internal teams to refine specifications, quality standards, and project timelines. - Coordinate samples, certifications, and production readiness.

General & Strategic Duties

- Seek innovative sourcing solutions and think creatively to solve challenges. - Analyse cost structures and identify opportunities for improvement. - Maintain accurate records of supplier data, quotes, and project milestones. - Provide regular updates on cost savings and NPD progress.

Skills & Experience

Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record securing favourable terms.

Natural "hunter" mentality: persistent, curious, and resourceful.

Experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or related fields.

Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills.

Excellent communicator with relationship-building ability.

Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.

Comfortable managing workload in a 20-hour part-time structure.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 19,000.00-20,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 per week
