Product Support Assistant (BTEC Level role)

In this entry-level role you'll play a hands-on role in shaping products, improving documentation, supporting product launches, and helping our teams compete in a fast-moving, AI-powered market.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has completed

BTEC Level studies

in engineering, technical, business, economics, or design-related subject looking for a fixed term role-- or a motivated school leaver who loves problem-solving and learning new tools.

What You'll Be Doing



Build Product Benchmarks



Compare our products with competitors, analyse technical specs, and use AI tools like ChatGPT or Microsoft Co-Pilot. Build benchmark sheets that guide sales teams and influence product strategy.

Support the Product Management Ticket System



Review and route product-related requests from across Europe and the Middle East. Investigate issues, liaise with Product Managers and HQ, and help drive timely responses.

Own Datasheet Accuracy



Check, correct, and maintain specifications in our central Data Hub. Ensure all published data is accurate and up to date.

Help Keep Sales & Marketing Docs Sharp



Update sales guides, feature sheets, comparison charts, and graphics used across the business.

Test Pre-Production Samples



Be one of the first to test new products before global launch. Learn to evaluate hardware, software, firmware, and report findings to HQ.

Explore Programming & Video Skills (Optional)



Coding, MQTT, app development, or video editing -- helpful but not required.

Support Product QA & Integrations



Test third-party apps, run shoot-outs, verify VMS integrations, build tutorials, and prepare demos for events.

Dive Into Competitor & Market Research



Use industry sources like Omdia and IPVM to analyse competitors, pricing, and market trends.

What We're Looking For



Essential

Curious mindset and willingness to learn Comfortable using Excel, and ChatGPT Good communicator Organised, reliable, proactive Interest in tech, products, or problem-solving
Nice to Have (But Not Required)

Coding or video skills Interest in CCTV, AI, or software Experience with Milestone or Genetec Any testing, QA, or reporting experience

Location:



The jobholder is required to be located at Hanwha Vision Europe Ltd, Heriot House, Heriot Road, Chertsey, Surrey, KT16 9DT - Our normal office hours are 09:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday, but the jobholder may be required to work outside of these hours as and when required to meet business needs. The role may also include travel outside of the UK from time to time.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: Up to 25,000.00 per year
