Job Summary:
To assist the Production department by ensuring machinery is cleaned to a high standard. Full training and appropriate clothing is provided.

  • Working hours: Monday to Friday; 2pm - 7:45pm.
\xc2\xa3. per hour! PLUS* Weekly & Annual Bonus! No experience required as full training will be provided. Branded Clothing and PPE will also be provided!

About The Role Key Responsibilities: In addition to any further duties which you may be reasonably required to perform from time to time, the following list constitutes the key tasks and duties of your post upon which your job performance will be assessed. Tasks are not listed in any particular order; therefore, the sequence in which they appear should not be interpreted as indicating priority or relative importance. 1. Level B cleaning duties will include cleaning concrete and will include Brushing floors, Cleaning Hoppers, Feed boxes, weigh house, Tail Drums and mixers. 2. Cleaning to a high standard using a combination of vibration tools such as air and electric kangos, scrapers and hammers. 3. Ensure machines efficiently cleaned in line with Production times, following Company procedures and safety requirements. Ensure targets are achieved maintaining quality expectations. 4. Access and egress to confined spaces may be required such as hoppers and mixers. 5. May involve Working at height and the use of safety harness and fall arrest. 6. Emptying bins with the use of a Forklift (Full training will be provided). Ensure bins are emptied at the end of shift. 7. Accurately complete Pre-used Forklift checks and OBBI checks via Tobermore Tablet. 8. Accurately complete the Cleaning Procedure and checklist at the start and the end of shift and ensure they are ready for the Production Supervisor. 9. Carry out tasks as required and deemed within your competence by immediate Supervisor. 10. Strictly adhere to all Company procedures and do NOT take shortcuts. 11. Ensure cleaning and shovelling of weigh houses and tail drums are clear from waste material. 12. Actively promote continuous improvement within the workplace 13. Communicate and liaise with the next Shift Management in a shift changeover information. 14. Any other duties as required which are deemed within your competence. Health & Safety Requirements 1. Ensure that you compliant with all aspects of health, safety and environmental. 2. Please ensure that suitable and sufficient PPE and RPE are being worn during your shift. 3. Report all faults with safety equipment or tools being used immediately to your line supervisor/manager. 4. Ensuring that you and others in your department are working safely. 5. Ensure suitable and sufficient PPE is being worn during work hours. 6. Report any Health and Safety concerns raised by you or your team to your Manager and Compliance team immediately. 7. Report any accidents or near misses in your department. 8. Ensure all machinery is correctly locked out and isolated as per Company procedures and all necessary props and locks are in place before cleaning commences. 9. Once machinery is completely locked out - continue to follow Health & Safety procedures to ensure Machinery is compliant before Cleaning commences. 10. Treat with care, attention and respect all items of Company property, e.g. protective clothing and equipment, machinery, tools and materials. 11. Observe all Company regulations regarding Health and Safety at Work, sickness absence, timekeeping etc 12. Observe safety requirements when driving company vehicles / operating machinery. (NB. Only trained and licensed operators may operate company vehicles) 13. Maintain safe working conditions and promptly bring to the attention of immediate Supervisor any work-related problems or hazard requiring attention. 14. Ensure all work is completed to specified Quality, Safety and Environmental standards. 15. Inform Shift Manager & Maintenance Team of any additional maintenance required or machine problems immediately. Due to the nature of this role \xe2\x80\x93 it is physically demanding therefore it is important to be aware that the role entails the following elements:
  • Repetitive manual handling.
  • Frequent lifting of equipment weighing 10kilos throughout the shift
  • Requirement to move safely in confined spaces.
  • Safely climb ladders and work at Heights.
  • Frequent use of hand arm vibration tools.
  • The requirement to wear Respiratory Personal Equipment for 30 minutes at a time.
  • The requirement to wear Personal protective gear during the cleaning shift.

Desired Criteria
  • 5 GCSE\xe2\x80\x99s including English & Maths A \xe2\x80\x93 C.
  • Full and clean driving licence.
  • Working experience of Machinery / Manufacturing Industry
  • Working experience in Production / Industrial Cleaning setting
  • Experience of Vibrating tools such as air kangos.
