The Production Coach supports colleagues across the DOT.Com fulfilment function and plant production at Chatteris, ensuring operatives work safely, efficiently, and in line with SOPs and site standards. The role delivers structured onboarding training, full training for new/updated procedures, and ongoing coaching to embed best practice and maintain compliance.
By acting as a role model, the Production Coach ensures high standards of safety, hygiene, efficiency, and quality, while supporting continuous improvement in online fulfilment and plant production.
Location: MM Flowers Ltd, Pierson Road, The Enterprise Campus, Alconbury Weald, Huntingdon, PE28 4YA
Contract: Full?time, average 38.5 hours per week
Shift Options: Sunday - Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver structured training at onboarding for all new starters (direct employees and agency workers).
Deliver full training sessions for new or updated SOPs and processes, followed by targeted on-the-job coaching.
Coach operatives through reflective conversations and feedback to build ownership and accountability.
Embed new procedures into daily routines through coaching, role-modelling, and observation.
Provide feedback on gaps between documented processes and actual practice, supporting alignment.
Partner with teams to address challenges, encourage ownership, and celebrate progress.
About You:
Experience in coaching, mentoring, or training within an operational, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of SOPs, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
Ability to observe, give feedback, and coach individuals to achieve high standards.
Organisational skills with experience maintaining training and coaching records.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills, able to engage diverse groups and individuals.
Desirable skills & experience:
Experience delivering onboarding programmes that combine formal training with coaching support.
Familiarity with using systems and tools to track learning progress (e.g., ERP or LMS).
Prior experience supporting compliance audits with evidence of training and competency checks.
Exposure to continuous improvement or Lean methodologies.
