Control, schedule and plan the flow of work to ensure production and financial forecasts are met. Coordinating with area managers to establish objectives and guidelines, generation of production plans and job orders, and supervising supply chain operations to ensure the key objectives of the operational business are supported.
Key duties and responsibilities
Manage production schedules from launch to completion of products.
Monitor contract performance via KPIs and customer scorecards.
Collaborate with management to develop planning processes and best practices.
Determine start dates based on lead-times and schedule work.
Facilitate regular production meetings to ensure parts are on schedule
Collate and catalogue export documents within repository.
Attend customer calls and meetings where necessary
Provide a weekly despatch list for the team leaders, inspectors and despatch
Book transport for finished goods where necessary
Assist operations team in controlling production costs.
Liaise with Management on progress of work and evaluate any risks to plan.
Collate and review current stock / WIP levels.
Identify shortages and late launches potentially risking manufacture plan.
Any other duties or projects as required within the skill set of this position.
Experience
Proven experience in a planning/manufacturing operations role
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Proven experience using ERP Systems to support operational requirements
Good analytical skills and data analysis skills.
Skills
Strong teamwork, organisational and time management skills
Ability to plan and manage operational resources effectively, evaluating and updating forecasts as required and identifying any financial impact
Self-motivated and pro-active approach with an ability to work under pressure
Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint & ERP systems
Excellent communication skills are essential
