We're looking for a dedicated
Production Driver
to be the backbone of our internal supply chain. You'll be responsible for the efficient and safe transport of all essential goods from our central Production Centre directly to our bustling Civerinos stores across the city. This is a vital role that directly supports our operational excellence and helps keep the Civerinos machine running smoothly!
The Role:
As a Production Driver, you'll be a key link between our Production Centre and our stores. Your primary mission will be to ensure timely and accurate delivery of all ordered stock, as well as the efficient collection of essential items for return to production. This role requires reliability, excellent organizational skills, and a strong commitment to supporting our store teams.
What You'll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities):
Internal Deliveries:
Safely and efficiently transport prepared food, fresh ingredients, drinks stock, and all necessary paper and packaging supplies from the Production Centre to all designated Civerinos store locations.
Ensure all deliveries are made according to pre-set schedules and internal order requirements.
Verify accuracy of delivered items against dispatch notes with store staff upon arrival.
Stock Collection & Return:
Collect empty dough trays, food tubs, and any other designated returnable items from stores during delivery runs.
Ensure collected items are properly counted, secured, and returned to the Production Centre for cleaning and reuse.
Vehicle Operation & Maintenance:
Operate the delivery vehicle (whether company-provided or personal) safely and responsibly, adhering to all road and traffic regulations.
Assist with the careful loading and unloading of all goods, ensuring items are handled to prevent damage.
Maintain the cleanliness and basic upkeep of the delivery vehicle.
Report any vehicle maintenance needs or issues promptly to management.
Logistics & Communication:
Follow established delivery routes and schedules, adapting as needed for efficiency or unforeseen circumstances (e.g., traffic, road closures).
Communicate effectively with the Production Centre team and store managers regarding delivery times, potential delays, or any stock discrepancies.
What We're Looking For (Skills & Experience):
A full and clear UK driving license.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules.
Physically able to lift, load, and unload heavy items (e.g., food tubs, drink crates, dough trays).
Strong attention to detail for accurate order verification and stock handling.
Reliable and punctual, understanding the critical nature of internal deliveries for store operations.
Friendly and personable, fostering good relationships with our store teams.
Availability:
This role requires availability during key delivery periods, which may include early mornings, weekdays, and weekend shifts depending on operational needs
