The Production Engineer is responsible for managing production-related engineering projects, improving manufacturing processes, and implementing lean manufacturing principles. The position is part of the Engineering department and works closely with production and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, manage, and execute production-related engineering projects
Drive process improvement initiatives in line with Lean Manufacturing principles
Develop projects to improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency
Drive line balancing activities and follow up
Manage project timelines, resources, and risks
Collaborate with Production, Quality, Planning, and Purchasing departments
Monitor and analyse production and engineering data via SAP
Prepare and update production documentation such as work instructions, process flows, and standards
Analyse production-related technical issues and perform root cause analysis
Track and report KPIs related to production performance
Actively participate in continuous improvement (Kaizen) activities
Provide regular reporting to the Operation Manager and Production Engineering Manager
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields)
Previous experience working within an Engineering department
Hands-on experience in production-related engineering projects
Knowledge of project management methodologies
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing tools and concepts (Lean, Kaizen, 5S, VSM, etc.)
SAP knowledge
Proficient in MS Office applications (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication and coordination abilities
Team-oriented mindset
Experience in industrial manufacturing or industrial cooling systems is a plus
