The Opportunity

We're looking for a

Production Engineer

to join our Quality team at

Laing O'Rourke's Centre of Excellence for Modern Construction (CEMC)

- the beating heart of our offsite manufacturing capability.



CEMC is where cutting-edge meets concrete. Since opening in 2009, the facility has produced components for some of the UK's most iconic projects - including Everton Stadium, Olympia redevelopment, Oxford Humanities and HS2.

What You'll Do

As Production Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring that the quality of our precast concrete components meets the highest standards - for clients, communities and the future of modern construction.



You'll:


Develop and implement robust Project Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans Translate specification requirements into practical manufacturing processes Lead root cause analysis and share learnings across the factory Promote continuous improvement to increase Right First Time performance Support Temporary Works coordination to ensure safe and consistent manufacture Be a visible advocate for safety, quality, and engineering excellence across CEMC

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

We're looking for a team player with a strong technical mindset and the confidence to influence across all levels. Ideally, you'll have:


Engineering or technical experience in a manufacturing or site-based role Solid understanding of concrete, construction tolerances and standards Strong communication and collaboration skills A commercial mindset with a focus on product compliance and quality
