Role Overview and Responsibilities:

Introduction


Providing technical support for products within the operations function and electronics specialism

Key Responsibilities


Produce Production Technical Engineering Documentation within Operations to ensure ease of manufacture. Train operations as per Company Requirements.

Support the technical justification for change control within an Operations environment including all NPI change control and feedback. Including aspects relating to Production Process from APQP.

Supporting/Drafting of Concessions/Permits for review - Including justifications


Support MRB Functions and finding effective root causes for process variation. Chair Ishikawa/5 Whys to ascertain root causes.

Presenting change control technical rational into the Engineering Design Authority.

Support the implementation of fresh, cost effective, best practice technological methods which enhances operational performance and customer satisfaction.

VSM Key Processes to validate effectiveness and drive improvements


Conduct Time and Motion Studies for different operations on the shop floor


Qualifications, Skills and Attributes:

Core Requirements


Minimum of HNC / HND in Electrical Engineering or proven experience in electronic manufacturing (Aerospace industry experience) or Industrial Engineering knowledge.

Excellent communication skills

Excellent cross functional team working skills

Possesses self-motivational drive and commitment

Strong participant in cross functional teams supporting Manufacturing

Microsoft Office experience

Desireable Skills and Experience


Ability to problem solve a wide range of technical issues (Mechanical, Electrical & Process). Able to perform and meet set KPI's.

Must be an experienced engineer from a similar industry, able to demonstrate multi functional engineering competence.

Strong knowledge of LEAN methodologies (preferably a LEAN-6 Sigma Green Belt)- Training can be given

Experience working with ERP / MRP systems - Training can be given
